2 Tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water

When you start with the slow cooker chili, cook ground beef in heavy skillet until brown and drain for excessive fat. Combine all ingredients except cornstarch and water in a slow cooker. Cover this mixture and cook on low heat for 6-7 hours until vegetables are properly cooked. Turn heat to high and add cornstarch and water until smooth and add to chili, stirring well. Uncover and cook for about 15 minutes, until slightly thickened.
