A slow cooker or crock pot is a very useful tool in doing many culinary experiments. Out of the many recipes which can be deliciously cooked in your slow cooker the pork chop is one such which can be savored with your entire family. We present you with one easy to prepare recipe of pork chop possible with your slow cooker.
Require Ingredients
* loin pork chops, boneless
* 1/3 cup of chopped celery
* 1/4 cup of chopped carrot
* 1/2 cup of chopped onion
* 1 tablespoon of olive oil
* 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
* 1/4 cup of chopped pecans, optional
* 2 cups of soft bread crumbs
* 1 egg for taste
* 1/2 tsp of rubbed sage
* 1/2 to 1 tsp of thyme leaves
* 1 tsp of dried parsley flakes
* Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
* medium potatoes
Preparation
The preparation of this delicacy is simple and like by entire family. To start with cut each pork chop horizontally through center and pond the chops to thin out between plastic wraps. Set it aside after properly seasoning it with salt and pepper. Take on the margarine and melt it with olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook celery, carrots and onions until they get tender and then pour this vegetable mixture in a medium mixing bowl. To this mixture add bread crumbs, sage, parsley, chopped pecans, thyme, salt and pepper. Mix this to a level where everything feels moistened.
Make rolls out of this mixture and secure them with a toothpick. Take the slow cooker and put the potatoes and mix some butter or margarine and season with salt and pepper. Put the rolls in the slow cooker and over the potatoes and add the remaining mixture. Cover the crock pot and cook the pork chops for next 8-9 hours on low. Serve warm.
